We went to the auctions on Saturday. I was not going to buy anything, just enjoy myself. I did want a hose pipe for one of my colleagues at work, but that was it. I bought a lawnmower for Mat and Louise, a dresser with a drawer that opens up to reveal a mirror and converts into a dressing table, an Ercol bedside drawer unit and that was it. Wait we also bought a few books, that was Liz, I ignored the books and was dong a good job, but they were full of home remedies, so "Dr" Liz had to have them

Easter Sunday
Quietish day today. I mowed the lawn again, the second time this year, the moss was a bit difficult as it hadn't grown very high. I spent a fortune on eggs, all for Liz' church kids, none for us. Two of our lot were here this year, Louise and Catriona, Louise because Mat was working until eight, Catriona because she couldn't get away.It seems a bit odd actually having time off this time of year.
Our neighbour kindly gave us about thirty punnets of blueberries! Liz made a batch of muffins with some, but had to put them outside to air as they were a little too moist, all those blueberries. Louise did say that it would not be a good idea to eat the ones with icing on, Liz said she hadn't iced any,oh!

Good Friday
The party was great on the 31st and everyone had a good time, including Liz, who made great inroads on a bottle of rum, as you can see from the picture. Oh yes there was a fire as you can see in the other picture.
Cat and I went to Asda in Corby today, boy was it busy. It was a lovely sunny day with temperatures soaring into double figures and we only needed one coat one, such warmth. Liz couldn't make it, she was too busy rushing around with her prayer mat. The Asda was one of those big jobs where you spend lots of money. It was very busy and the Easter egg aisle was the most dangerous, I almost got mugged, but the people were easily distracted by the arrival of a fresh load of chocolate eggs and the previously unseen lot on a top shelf, whew! The shop was a twenty four hour one, but we went in during the busiest hour.
