The Doctor

We went to see Dennis Lacorriere, last night, at the Broadway Theatre in Peterborough. What a show! The show was excellent and included half an hour of the former Smokie lead singer, he was great and was worth the price of the tickets alone. Dennis Lacorriere was one of the lead singers for Dr Hook and was very good, what a show we have never seen so many older people gathered for a pop show before, and a lot of themwere playing with their cell phones, just to prove it is not only the kids that use them, it was quite an eye opener. The usherette had to keep telling people off for trying to take sneaky pics of the show. The band was also on the mature side, but they knew their stuff. Seeing a couple of balding guitarists tuning up before the show gave us cause for a few comments. The whole thing was well done and he sang a lot of the old hits, they were very popular in the seventies, so you can guess the average age of the audience. There were a couple of old rockers with the obligatory black T shirts and illegible or obsene words on them, generally it was a good evening out.
The only blot was when I put £3.50 in the parking machine only to have Liz point out a sign saying tikets were £1 after 5pm ££$%£"**(&^ it.
We are going out to a fire warming party tonight and Liz has made some of her meringues, hopefully there will be few pictures.
